Last updated: 1 September 2026. The total solar eclipse on Wednesday 12 August 2026 has now passed. This article is retained as a factual record of a remarkable evening in Pollença and north Mallorca, rather than as a current booking offer.

The 12 August 2026 eclipse

NASA records that the eclipse swept across Greenland, Iceland, the Atlantic, Spain and a small part of Portugal. Mallorca lay within the path of totality, shortly before sunset.

Timing in north Mallorca

For nearby Port de Pollença, the Balearic Islands eclipse record gives a partial phase beginning at 19:37 CEST, totality at 20:31, and the partial phase ending at 21:21. It records 100% obscuration and 1 minute 28 seconds of totality for Port de Pollença.

The event was unusual for Mallorca: totality arrived in the final part of the day, when the changing light and the approaching sunset made the whole evening feel distinctive.

A page kept as an archive

The original version of this page was written before the eclipse and included an August 2026 availability message. Those dates have passed, so that offer and the time-sensitive viewing suggestions have been removed. We have kept the web address intact so that existing links and search history continue to lead to an accurate page.
